About Us

A Brief History of the Bezanson Community Church

The Bezanson Community Church was formed in 1971 under Village Missions. The first service was held on September 12, 1971 with approximately 25 people in attendance. The church building was a former schoolhouse, which had been given to the community to be used as a church. The United Church held services here for several years and then closed down. Village Missions was then invited into the community and the building was purchased from the United Church.

During the leadership of Village Missions renovations were made to the church to make room for the growing church family.

In July of 1990, a decision was made to change our church affiliation from Village Missions to the Evangelical Free Church of Canada.

On September 10, 1995, a sod turning ceremony took place on a new location for a new facility. The old church building was sold on November 3, 1996, the new building was dedicated.

We have been blessed by growing families as we serve our Lord, each other, and our community.
